I am trying to learn a few verses from each book we studied at CBS this year. Our final book was 1 John and one of the sections that jumped out at me was this:
1 John 2:24-25
"Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you, and if what you learned from the beginning abides in
you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father, and this is the promise that he made to us - eternal life."
ESV
This is the core of our faith in a nutshell. We hear the gospel, we believe, we abide, we spend eternity with our God and Savior. Who wouldn't want to memorize this?
