Museum of Flight

Good times people! The kids LOVED the play area where they could climb in planes and "practice" hangliding. We got to walk through a concorde jet and an older air force one. The museum is VERY well done and I could have stayed and read more of the info but as you all know with four children six and under our four hour visit their was Quite impressive in it's own right. Of course when there are like 20 planes hanging from the ceiling I am a little bit in picture heaven. For your sake, it's a good thing my camera died. I didn't even get any pictures of the WWI and WWII sections. Enjoy!

Mt. Rainier

This weekend we attempted to improve our luck on seeing Mt. Rainier in all it's summer glory and we succeeded! It was yet again a free weekend at the national park so (like last year) I was sure we would be driving for an hour just to get a parking spot. I said "Lord, open a spot". Thirty feet from the main lodge we were forced to stop because of traffic flow (or lack thereof) and a family walks across the street in front of us and gets in their car! "NO way, I can't believe this", I say as I parallel the van into the spot. I remind Jeremy that I said a prayer and he says well what about the guy behind us? to which I smartly replied well either He didn't pray or sometime God says" Wait" and sometimes He says "it's your turn" and today is my turn! lol. I was so frustrated that we forgot our camera becuase the whole mountain was crystal clear. We could even see camp muir, the base for the climbers that summit rainier. It was a really gorgeous day topped off by enjoying dinner with jeremy's dad and family. I shopped this photo off the internet so you wouldn't feel left out. ha ha.
oh yea, it's that pretty. and the lodge at Paradise is much closer than this shot

A little in love with

this dress from etsy. yummy. THAT is almost the color of the mountain meadow grass from this weekend

 SWEET VICTORY!

Camping in Bend, OR

well this was quite the travel weekend. A full day's drive on friday saw us arriving at our campground at Tumalo State Park about 5:00 p.m. We set up camp and had a great time the next few hours explorin the site and eating campfire cookin! Unfortunately, it was about 9:30 when a terrible cold hit me out of nowhere. I used an entire box of tissues in one night and slept terrible. Didn't seem to phase the kids though, as I walked trinity to the bathroom saturday morning to brush out teeth she declared it the best experience of her entire life. She kept that conviction the whole weekend. lol. Saturday we drove to Tumalo Falls and I have posted a few pictures of it. So Pretty! I was ridiculously hopped up on Benadryl Allergy and went through another whole box of kleenex but at least I slept better that night. I must say I love being outdoors at all hours, there are so many novelties about the different times of day that usual pass while I am inside. I do love sitting at a campfire as well, at least when I can breathe. Sunday we went to the High Desert Museum in the morning. It was pretty fun but at about 1:00 I completely lost all energy. I pulled Jeremy aside and told him we couldn't stay another night. I needed to go home! On the way back we stopped at Mt. Hood ski resort. It's one of the only mountains in the U.S. you can ski all year. It was sooooo Warren Miller. Very cool vibe. They even had a St. Bernard in the gift shop that the kids were all over. All in all, a successful first family camping trip. Thanks Donathons for inviting us! (on a later note as I finish this I can't find the cord to get pics off my internal memory so sorry no waterfall pics. lame) maybe a state park site has one I can bum . . .

lots of cool statues
I liked the cedar walls and outdoorsy vibe
