A little school update and other December activities so far

We are three months into CC and officially on our homeschool winter break. Of course we won't be without any school, math and science will continue with a couple of weeks' review of CC charts and concepts, but there are no Tuesday class days until mid-January. Isaac is a sponge. Almost anytime I trail off in our memory work he keeps right on going. I don't know how he learns it so fast but he does. CC songs are sung pretty much twenty-four seven in our house with this one. Trinity is connecting with the girls at class and we had our first playdate with one of them this week so that was great. I still battle her lack of enthusiasm for writing. Details in math are still not her thing. Here are a few pics of our class days from Sept. to now. I LOVE seeing her work with the tutors and get time "up front". There just isn't the possibility for collaboration like this in public schools' crowded classrooms. Trin also had her first choir performance and we finally made it to Garden D'light the Christmas display in Bellevue at the botanical gardens. Blake had his third grade concert as well, the holiday season is just flying by. His conference in November went well, he is off to a good start academically this year.

as usual I am way far away at school concerts, Blake is the one just above the girl in the front rows head. Wearing a red shirt and messy hair in his face.

this was a very friendly friend and Isaac was not too sure about his walking all over him
 marker boards are our friends
Back at Salish. It was the stormiest day of the year and everything had to be moved inside. So much for the three local tree lightings that happened that same night.

 our friend again

 sorry I didn't order these
if I make it big and blurry you can see his smile

back to CC adorableness, it is ALL boys in Isaac's class
Trinity preparing for her recorder presentation
Isaac sits in on Trinity's afternoon class. Here they are doing math drills. I love that he gets to hang out with the "big kids" and glean from them

not very many kids in Trinity's class and a couple were sick this day. Every Tuesday they have a five minute presentation on anything they want. Trinity's favorites so far? This one, her speed-stacking presentation, and her History of Halloween presentation.

This is at Isaac's speech therapy place. I'd like to make one. Gorgeous big frame but it must be metal behind the fabric because it works with magnets. I love that.
some of us CC moms got together to paint at a pottery shop and get to know each other. good times.
