Doing the Puyallup

Free Your Glee! was this year's theme at the fair and boy did the kids try their best. All they wanted to do was rides and guess what? the rides are ridiculously expensive. so they got two apiece. The first time around on the dragon coaster blake had a death grip and a worried expression but once he looked over and saw sister having a great time he decided to chill out and have a good time. It was pretty funny watching him consider whether or not to enjoy the ride. Then he hounded us for more. By the time they got off their second ride it was pretty rainy so we headed back to the barns. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see all the animals I wanted with the rain and the unruly kids. We did see the cows and goats and the kids got to "milk" one. Trinity was actually pretty good at it. We got kusty pup corn dogs and a giant bad of cotton candy (mixed colors of course) and that was our day. I was bummed that we didn't find the photo booths. It's a tradition that Jeremy and I hop in and take some funny shots and I was eager to try the whole family experience. Alas in the rain we votoed heading to the car after the third time around the main drags without finding them. Found out later they were way at the back with all the animals I didn't get to see. poo. we'll do better next year! At least I got some cute pics of the kids on the rides and with the goats
trinity waiting to milk the cow
this is fun!
blake wasn't as enthused
blake was actually thrilled to pet the goat, just didn't catch him at a great time expression wise
yum! cotton candy!
oooh! Rain! and SUGAR!

Boo for the rain, but it looks like you all managed to have a great time, regardless of the bummy weather! The fair is WAY too expensive, and it is such a shame. We learned that first-hand this summer, too. Limiting the kids up front to two rides each is a good idea, I think. They look adorable, of course - is this a first time for them?

yup, we usually go as a date night. This year we took the plunge with the kids. to be honest, not sure which I like better. =)

Looks like fun, even with the rain and unruly kids!! The fair is super expensive and ours is coming up next month. My girls have never been, but I'm hoping to go on "armband night" where you purchase an armband and you ride whatever you want as many times as you want.

I love trins face in the mirror with her hood up. So Trin. and then the last two pic Blake And Jer are making similay faces and you can see they do look alike, even though Blake still takes more after you.
