Jaialdi 2015

Ah the trip we love to hate! We haven't been to the Basque Festival in Boise, ID since Trinity was a one year old. It was so fun to see in person all the aspects of the Basque culture that they have done reports on. We bought a ton of stuff, watched the dancers, weightlifters, and wood choppers, ate lamb sandwhiches, did it all really! Extracurriculars included swimming at the hotel my family was staying at, visiting with my aunt who we stayed with, and on our drive home hitting the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center in Baker City, OR. It was A LOT to pack in to four days and we were all glad to get home out of the 104 degree heat.

hee hee give him a kiss!

I just posted this because it was a cool mural and Jeremy looks like a sasquatch

the exhibits were cute with lots of interaction for the kids. three things you would bring on your journey in 1852 and then 2015
amazing panoramic views from the center which was itself a pretty cool large building built out over a bluff.
someone had to go out for a little time-out after getting too wiggly

Trinity looking glum as the poor pioneers behind her
a magnetic wall with goods and items to pack that you had to divvy up
never saw so many stuffed animals in an exhibit before. lol
had to include this one even though there is one above because they look like they were choreographed to do the same thing!
maaaaaa

selfie on the trail. . . .
out of the 1,720 miles of trail there is still approx 300 miles of ruts visible
pretty cool huh?
HATE This picture of myself but oh well, we made it to the Basque block!

Nee Nee in her happy place. . .

Friday ended with paddle boats at Julia Davis Park and Mexican at Enrique's

Judas Arrieta's artwork. If all goes well I will own one. =)

I have a picture (sort of) like this of Trin watching the dancers when she was a baby. sigh.

one of only two female lifters of this calibre
a fine line of Basques there minus that grey haired english looking dude. . . .sorry dad
This guy lifted 270 lbs 17 times in a row in three minutes. seriously people.
hmm family photo needs work lol
a little better. . .
bingo! oh wait, Isaac's eyes are shut. Ah well, peace out Basque Festival it's quite likely the next time we go Trinity will be able to legally drink, Blake will be starting college and Isaac will be a freshman. Say what?!
