Perfect As

ESV - 1 Peter 3:7
"Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered."

NKJ

Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
NLT - 1 Peter 3:7
In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.

After focusing on matters of the heart for the woman in regards to her relationship with her husband and her influence/example to that circle of the marriage and church body, Paul turn to husbands and gives them this command: Honor them as the weaker vessel. Well, we are the weaker vessel by nature. This verse gives us another way to AFFIRM our God ordained position. Not focusing on the aspect of weakness but instead on the honor due us in that submissive role. It is not "less than" but "perfect as".
