October 2018

October was a full month and now of course it's nearly December but here is the highlight real, some everyday life, one holiday, and some fun extra field trips and outdoor play.

 Alright, alright, I'll turn on the fireplace for the winter

 All of these pictures of from a night walk we took at a local "slough". The activities before we left were guessing local animals by the skulls, matching scents as an animal would, and making creature masks. 

 Why I ever agreed to move to the land of slugs I will never know. . .

 Here are just a couple of my students, our first semester has been going so well. We've had health issues in a few families that have prevented some attendance but we press on towards our goal and I find it so much more relaxing this year having done it once. They still love play-dough and earning stickers for rewards lol.

 Finally forced the kids to do a longer hike and they can totally do it so next year it's on like Donkey Kong. We had the most unbelievable weather this October. As warm and sunny a fall month as I've had since moving here.

 We had a fun field trip to Swan Trail Farm for a corn maze and pumpkin patch experience. The maze here was all landmarks and neighborhoods in a scaled planting of Washington state. The kids had the most fun however in the corn kernal cottage. Always fun to hang with our CC friends. 

 These two pics are from a walk we took around Volunteer park with the dear Laura Klein and her family. So good to see them even though I don't have an actual picture of them. 

 These pics are from the Danney Gokey Concert I took my friend Rebekah to. What an amazing experience! These two men are pastors at heart and they preached the whole time, speaking right into some needs of the audience and to Rebekah and I especially.

 Ha ha our homegroup was the day before Halloween so we let all the kids dress up and TRIED to capture a picture at the end of the night. Silly us. So many kids.

 Time to get one more puzzle done before the holidays begin.

is what Trinity and her friends named their time-traveling group for her cousin Morgyns birthday party. My mom came and we had a great time over the week of Halloween, then I sent Trinity home with her and she spend the weekend on the east side. I then drove over to Moses Lake the first few days into November to pick her up, lucky girl.
