to the tree!

I think I could probably make a career of doing trees. not that I am good at it (and of course I am limited to what I have, not some humongo budget) but that it's just so dang fun!

As you know, I splurged on a pre-lit flocked tree last year. Moving from where it snows to where it rains made me realize how much I miss that "snow covered tree" look. So now I have it INSIDE. I tore all the poinsettias off an old garland and it really added the punch I was looking for. I had this really great stocking ribbon I was going to put on it too but I didnt have enough to creat the effect I wanted. This will do for this year. Oh and there are some other random decor shots as well, including (thanks nee nee) trinity's favorite hello kitty ornament. Someone tell me how to fix the sideways pictures! there are straight in the file I loaded them from. . .grr.

you gotta love watching movies on the floor in front of the fire. trinity and blake also spend a fair bit of time now taking care of "spotty", trinity's webkinz. blake watches over her shoulder and laughs whenever she does. it's pretty funny.

Trinity's First Field Trip

Trinity had her first field trip this tuesday. It was a blustery fall day to say the LEAST. I bundled her up in rain gear and off they went. Isn't technology amazing? I didn't even go and the next day I have photos from other mom's that I can post. Wonderful!!! She had a great time and picked a perfect round little pumpkin. We have decorated it tonight for the awana pumpkin contest (pics to come!) Have you noticed how she is in the middle front in all the group pics? Yeesh. I have a theory that it isn't so much becuase she wants to be noticed but it's more that she is so spacey that she is one of the last ones they have to call to attention just to get in the picture! I am sure was just standing there looking around at everything and they were like" trinity over here. . .trinity get in the picture. . .trinity just sit there in front. . .yes, right there. . .okay smile guys, . . trinity look at the camera!" Jeremy says she is like me in that when she is involved with something (books, tv, eating) it's like talking to a tree. no response. well hmmph I say, at least it gets her front and center!

Mt. Rainier

so we took the kids to the mountain for the first time. unfortunately, you couldn't see the top and it was MASSLY crowded being as it was the last "free" weekend for state parks. still the kids had fun walking around and looking at wild flowers. I wonder if it isn't a little redundant to post the same pics and stories here as I do on facebook but I can't seem to think of anything clever I want to blog about so. . .when we explained to trinity that blake;s middle name was rainier she got upset that we hadn't named HER that. so much for appreciating being named after her father. . .

Mom's

so once trinity had been at mom's for five days I brought the blake-miester over too for a little granda time. Needless to say we SERIOUSLY enjoyed the new landscaping. As well as shopping, and digging sea-shells, and making hand-print "stones", and playing with great-grandma, and the list goes on and on. . .

Trin (as usual) can never be normal when I am trying to get good pics. plus there was some moisture on the lens that kept everything sort of fuzzy. better luck next year.
